Can a Book Save Your Marriage?

can a book save your marriage, christine luken, financial lifeguard

Can a book save your marriage?  Maybe…  I was so blessed and humbled to receive the following review from one of the early readers of my book, Money is Emotional: Prevent Your Heart from Hijacking your Wallet.

“Money is Emotional changed the financial temperature in my home. I began to give up hope on the idea of having a financial partnership with my husband that consisted of open communication and common financial goals. My husband NEVER picks up books and cringed any time I talk about money. Money is Emotional changed all of that. He participated in every action item placed at the end of each chapter. He had quite a few ‘AHA’ moments and discovered he had many habits and thoughts concerning money he had no idea were there.

This book sparked great conversation and helped form new financial habits within our household. Money is Emotional taught us that our thoughts and attitudes toward money affect how we handle our personal finances. Christine offers practical solutions to financial situations we all encounter daily. This book set a new tone for my marriage at a moment when I was ready to quit. We will continue to use this book as a check-in throughout our marriage.” – Alicia F.

My goal in writing this book was to help as many people as possible to become financially healthy.  When couples communicate regularly about money, it strengthens their marriage.  Kudos to Alicia and her husband for reading Money is Emotional together as a couple and working through the exercises.
