getting better at client acquistion
I need to be honest with you about something: Most people believe they have a client acquisition problem - when in fact, what they have is a messaging problem
You see, the majority of people I talk to are actively trying to get new clients in their businesses by doing the following things:
- They are posting on social media
- They are building funnels
- They are hiring setters
- They are sending random messages
But behind the apparent confidence, they feel defeated when having to convince people of their value only to get a “I can’t afford it” or “I’ll have to think about it”
The truth is, it’s not that the strategies i mentioned above don’t work - Often times all you need is a VERY simple tweak in your message to get better results
And to start bringing the right people in while getting fully booked doing what you love.
Let me give you an example from my client Adam who is a coach that helps music producers attract high-paying artists.
He was struggling with enrolling people into his low-ticket offer - attracting too many people who saw music producing as a hobby - therefore, not willing to actually invest.
So we dramatically transformed his message - while sticking to his same strategy
Where it used to say “turn your passion into a music producing business” - which would attract a lot of newbies. We shifted his language to say “attract high-paying clients for your crave-worthy beats.” Totally different audience and problem to solve.
With switching this out, he was able to sign 2 clients at his beta price, then double that price and immediately sign a $4,000 client.
Something similar happened with my client Maddy who was very consistently creating content on TikTok without any response.
As a Relationship Coach she knew she had a lot to offer - but was feeling frustrated when she wasn’t seeing results.
So - again - we tweaked her message and type to content she needed to create.
Her videos went viral on TikTok, and she was able to sign 3 clients for her high ticket program in just 1 week.
All this to say - very often it’s not that the strategy you are using is wrong - it’s that the message isn’t connecting to the right people.
In other words - your message isn’t landing - but sometimes, the SMALLEST tweaks make the biggest difference in the world.
A tiny tweak can make your strategy take off and your business make a quantum leap to the next level.
So instead of blaming your problem on a “client acquisition” problem - take a hard look at your message because You might be a simple tweak away from success.
