TRANSACTION- BASED MARKETING vs INTENTION- BASED MARKETING AND HOW TO TRANSFORM YOUR BUSINESS AS AN ONLINE COACH
In the business world, just because everyone is doing something doesn’t mean this leads to success.
Transaction-based marketing is the marketing method most people are using, because they’re the most accessible and are literally everywhere.
Don’t fall in the trap of using the same funnels everyone is allegedly using to make “7-figures.” This won’t work because you need to focus on your needs. These methods fail because they are not personalized to your business or really about understanding your audience. Instead, we should focus on intention-based marketing for true results.
The truth is everyone doing the same thing. Not many know their true message.
Remember, transaction-based marketing is used by everyone. These methods can be overwhelming to the consumer/potential clients. Instead, let's work on having intention-based marketing to take us to the next level.
I talk more about this and explain how it works in detail in the training below:
Transaction-based marketing
Most coaches and marketing gurus focus on “transaction-based marketing” and focus mostly on emails, following a template, growing Instagram, using bots to get more followers, Facebook and Youtube, building a massive launch for their business, but this is wrong.
The problem is they all end up using the same cookie-cutter formula to sell.
You have all these coaches taking the exact same formula and teaching exact same funnels and we have all these people are pretty much saying the same thing, so you’re paying to become an invisible or hustling entrepreneur because you become one more.
Not only that, but your audience becomes a pocket transaction, a statistic, a conversion rate, a number and you lose touch with your message, your people, and end up burning out, falling out of love with your business.
When I started my business, I thought that this is exactly what I needed. I believed that it was all about finding some “secret, magic formula” that would give me results. What I realized is that you could almost have someone else’s exact formula, and have it fail for you. I mean, have you seen those ads that sell the entire ‘7-figure funnel’? I can bet that those don’t really work.
These methods don’t work because they’re missing your essence and lack intention. But most all, because until you aren’t able to create a clear and compelling message for your brand, you will keep on failing over and over again.
Intention-based marketing
Instead, what you want to do is build what I call, Intention-based marketing. Build a strong foundation for yourself and your business to make failure not an option. Focus on making sure you’re building your business and connecting to yourself first. Establish real relationships where you actually care by putting people first, and yourself first, and what’s in your heart.
This is the importance of following a framework like the Brand Strategy Pyramid. Instead of using traditional marketing strategies and tactics to make sales first, we do it the opposite way.
We begin by getting really clear on who you are, using that “secret sauce and turning it into salsa” and positioning yourself as an authority. You get a very clear understanding of your audience and their needs so that you can create messages that connect.
You create your own unique methods- that can’t be replicated by others which allows you to stand out. Additionally, you focus on making sure you’re clear on what your core message is and create an offer your ideal client is looking for.
Once these pieces are clearly in place, that’s when you begin to focus on building your marketing strategies around who you are. Everything is done with intention and not out of the blue, because you understand that your words have actual meaning. The result of this is that it allows you to connect with your audience by revolutionizing your brand and creating a clear and compelling message that instantly magnetizes the right people and repels the ones that are not the right fit for you.
Instead of looking at your audience like a conversion rate or number, you start to build out long-term relationships, which end up paying off.
Benefits of intention-based marketing
Become an authority entrepreneur by positioning your brand as an authority.
By focusing on intention-based marketing, you’re able to make sure you get deeper and more meaningful connections which means better results with your strategy.
Why? Because it means that you are building your message with absolute intention (hence the name). You are making sure you are standing out from everyone else and, in the process, building a more powerful brand that captivates your ideal audience.
This allows you to expand your creativity and tactics by focusing on a personalized digital marketing strategy that adapts to who you are.
You need to keep up with new techniques to make you stand out and different from everyone else.
Learning and investing in your knowledge will help you make the income of your dreams instead of wasting time, money, and resources on transaction-based marketing approaches.
Intention-based marketing allows you to have confidence in yourself and your business. You see, the most important factor in being an entrepreneur is having confidence in what you are selling; you must know your own business. Remember- what you offer is amazing, but you must show why it is valuable and necessary for prospects. To be able to sell more, you need to connect with your real message, which brings you more leads and self-confidence.
For example, my client Eileen was having this same problem. As a Career Coach, she was worried that her program wasn’t just about helping clients land 6-figure jobs. She kept comparing herself to other coaches in her field and felt that she ‘wasn’t good enough.’ (Can you relate? It’s what most people go through!)
Anyways, we worked together and completely changed the way in which she saw her business. We started with changing her message and making sure she got really clear on what she does.
You see, it wasn’t about helping her clients land 6 or 7-figure jobs, it was about helping women fall in love with their careers, get unstuck and asking for what they are truly worth. With this new message in mind, we completely transformed her brand and marketing strategy.
The results were immediate. Eileen was able to quickly start enrolling people into her $5,000 program, growing her business with intention and getting incredible results. All of this because she moved away from a Transaction-based model into an Intention-Based marketing strategy.
How to make a positive change to your business
You’re here because you’re interested in growing your business and I am here to help you.
So the question is, what type of entrepreneur do you want to be?
Are you the Invisible Entrepreneur:
You have a lot of knowledge and experience, but too much going on. You have so much content, but don’t really know what to do with it. A few clients come to you mainly by referrals. You feel invisible because maybe you’re not charging what you should be and struggling on knowing what your ideal audience is. (So essentially, you are full of self-doubt and overwhelmed with information.)
Are you the Hustling Entrepreneur:
You are focused on growth and taking way too much action. You believe in hard work and are obsessed with your business. You have an email list that you don’t really know how to leverage. You are slightly clearer on your message, but something is missing.
Or do you want to become the Authority Entrepreneur:
You have reached the peak of the mountain! Congrats! People see you as an expert in your field. This doesn’t have to do with the number of followers you have or how many certifications you have, but about the impact you make on other people’s lives. You’ve done your research and really know your stuff. You go above and beyond to help people transform their lives. You charge what you deserve and your efforts are seen. Your powerful message not only magnetizes your ideal audience but brings you financial freedom.
Tired of being an invisible or hustling entrepreneur? The solution is simple. Become an authority entrepreneur by using intention-based marketing.
